Rifle elk hunts in Nevada take place in the month of the November these hunts can bring some extremely cold weather. Mostly in the mid to high 30’s and can be as low as sub zero temperatures. It is best to have many layers so you can add and shed layers as needed. This hunt can vary from glassing from high mountain tops, to glassing from a heated truck and everything in between. It is always best to come prepared for all types of weather. Game bags and a good cooler for the meat on the trip home are extremely helpful as well.
